A Snowy Night in Bucks County

I had the pleasure of missing the early season snows (I love CA in the wintertime!) This time I was looking forward to heading out and photographing Bucks County in the snow. A few problems though.... The 3-5 inches turned out to be less than an inch and the two specific photos I wanted, were not illuminated on this evening. Oh well, I found a few worth keeping. Enjoy.

An old school house located somewhere along River Road north of New Hope.

A favorite stone barn along River Road, again north of New Hope.

And finally, a pretty cool looking tree.

Susquehanna River Eagles

I picked up a new Nikon D300 over the holidays and figured it was time to give it a workout. We headed to the Conowingo Dam on the lower Susquehanna River, just north of the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. This is a well know wintering spot for bald eagles. In the late fall, there have been reports of 70-100 bald eagles on any give day.

There were no where near that many eagles on this cold, sunny Sunday, but we did manage to see a few over two hours. Enjoy.

There was an immature bald in the area.
