More Water....Delaware River Flooding

So around 2:30am I am awoken by thunder.  It is raining hard again.  I check the basement and all is well.  45 minutes later, water is coming in the basement window and up through the slab.  _uck.  The back yard is a swimming pool with water 6-8 inches deep.  I get the yard fixed in about 2 hrs.

Enough of my problems because other people have it worse.  Here are a few pictures on the Delaware River at Washington Crossing.  River will still come up another couple of feet but it should not reach a level where it will be a problem for us.

Why can't it just follow directions.

A visit by a B-17

On the day of the great East Coast Earthquake, Trenton airport had a visitor, a WWII B-17G bomber.  This fine aircraft is owned by Experimental Aircraft Association, Inc.  More details can be found at www.b17.org.

No Crossing for George today

With all the rain and snow melt over the past two weeks, the Delaware River is running high.  This morning it crested about 15', which is still 4' below flood stage.  It's a good thing that George Washington did not have to cross the river or he would have ended up south of Philadelphia.  A few photos from this morning.

The boats are still in the river.

A tree which is normally on dry ground.

The river is really rolling.

It should be interesting as we are supposed to get another 2 inches of rain on Thursday.  Enjoy.
